Qualifications
Kathy Herrera, CPA, has provided high-quality accounting services to businesses in Omaha and beyond since 2008. Her experience in both public and private accounting, including 17 years with a Fortune 500 company, gives her a broad perspective across accounting, finance, operations, and staff management.
Kathy earned a BS from Wayne State College and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She also gained hands-on auditing experience with the Nebraska Department of Revenue. Known for her persistence and problem-solving approach, Kathy is a trusted advisor who takes the time to uncover issues and find practical solutions.
Kathy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Nebraska Society of CPAs (NESCPA) and is a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. She currently serves on the NESCPA Accounting Careers Committee and has previously served as vice chair of its Quality Review and Nonprofit committees.
She regularly completes continuing education to stay current with evolving tax laws and accounting practices and enjoys opportunities to share her expertise with businesses and the broader community.
